Must be APA Formatted with Cover Page and Applicable references. Hanging indentation as APA applicable
Must be 8 pages minimum – double spaced, etc…APA
MUST include a total of 5 different references. 3 of these references MUST pertain to the 6 Topics, the other 2 can pertain to the remainder of the paper.
Each topic will have a 2 to 3 sentence description. This description should be a problem statement of why we chose the topic to discuss and provide solutions for the issues. DO NOT excede 3 sentences for the description.
Full Sentence Outline may be used as applicable

Here is the intro that was submitted for approval by the professor. This paper does not necessarily need to pertain to the Fire Service, nor does it need to specifically address how it impacts the FIre Service operationally. It can focus directly on the topics and their impact on personnel management. This paper is to be written as if you are part of the management team and are fixing a challenge that you face within your organization. This obvuously will need to be in either the abstract and or introduction.

Changes in 21st Century Personnel Management

Through the introduction of many facets and methods of management the Fire Service has been faced with many challenges in the management of personnel. Non existent were some of the challenges that we currently face in a time of change and acceptance. The Fire Service is one that has many requirements attached to each and every position, with each position ever evolving to meet the demands of the service, and our culture. There are multiple areas to have proven to be issues in personnel management and of the many we will focus on six. Demographics, Laws, Unions/Labor Management,The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Discipline, and Physical Requirements are all issues that personnel managers are trying to understand and comply with.
